Products:
Just on top of my head the kinda things I'd like to apply my designs onto, besides the obvious t-shirts:
- eye mask, pillows, blankets, socks, body butter, wallets, watch, chocolate, books/notebooks, underwear, bottle opener, pens, eyeliner, towels, hats, canvas bags, sleeping mask ... (will add to the list soon)
*think about products that reflect the brand.

More logo design ...
So I've been playing around with the look and feel of the logo and I think I am getting closer to the way I want them to look. I'm pretty happy with the ghost and still think I can work on the skull. I think the skull looks too much like the brand "Skullcandy". Next step is to keep working on this and start coming up with stories and designs for the t-shirts etc. Also I need to get the classes feedback on the name of the brand.

Developing the Logo
I did a fast sketch of a logo the other day and tried to make it on illustrator today. It's the ghost and skull in a shape of a heart. And I've been thinking of names for the brand and like the word "sloks", cause it sounds like a cool made up word except for it's actually parts of my name strung together. The logo still looks a lil too cute, and i definitely have to work on the font choice. I want it to look more cool and edgy, instead of cute and quirky.

Random Inspiration
Skull + Ghost Characters!
Did some really rough drawings of my characters (the skull + ghost). They still need a name. Any ideas? Will have a more finished version of the two characters soon and hopefully a logo and name for the brand!
Developing Characters
I'm currently developing the characters for my clothing brand. Been drawing heaps of ghost and skulls and starting to develop the overall identity of the brand. Trying to think of names for the two characters. So far I have cliche names like amigos and tomodachi. Will be drawing up logos and thinking of names for the characters and the brand! The project is getting exciting! Will introduce these characters to you guys soon.

Feeling the Pressure
Time is running out and I've decided to write up a rough plan for the next few weeks:
1. Knock out story + Characters
2. What kind of style: Do more mood boards
3. Design the brand identity
4. Design shirts
5. Look at materials and shirts
6. Source printers/ screen printing places
7. Design online shop or facebook fan page
8. Find out how many people are interested in buying
9. Maybe get shirts printed (if there is enough time)
10. Party!!

Ghost and skulls
So, I've been really struggling to come up with ideas for my t-shirt brand. I've been sketching a lot in my notebook but I've also been very frustrated. I've been drawing a lot of ghost and skulls and I tried to develop them into a story. So far I've come up with a idea about this ghost that carries this skull around because the skull has no body. and the ghost can't talk, so the skull does the talking for it. I hope this idea does not exist already ... Ah well, i shouldn't settle with one idea. Going to keep brainstorming more stories. Here are some of the sketches.

EVO
Looked back on a project I did last yr in Monash. We had to design a business card and letterhead and other stationaries for a made up or existing brand. I came up with an identity for a clothing label called "EVO" clothing. EVO stands for evolution and my brand was about this yellow dog like character that liked to consume things and evolved into whatever it consumed. Had fun designing the characters and designing the business cards and badges for this identity. The reason why I'm looking back at this project is because it very much relates to my Major Project this year.
I am currently still brainstorming ideas for my t-shirt brand and it was good to get feedback from the class on what directions I should really push. At the moment the idea is to come up with a character that I can story tell with. Eg. Creating a character that likes to sleep all the time and gets into funny situations because of that. These ideas really reminded me about the EVO characters I invented last year. Stay tune for some story telling. If anyone has some ideas for a story fell free to share em with me :)

Harajuku Lovers
Been looking at some clothing brands and one of the clothing brands that I think market themselves very well is Harajuku Lovers (Gwen Stafani's brand of apparel). I remember these shirts really appealing to me when they came out (2004). I love their bold characters (and the personalities attached to them). And the fact that they were Kawaii inspired. I also like the t-shirt cut and style. Not to mention the logo that they used.

More sketches ...
Knocking these out like crazy. I need to come up with an identity for my clothing brand soon. Having fun drawing :) Staying up late is bad for the body but good for the mind I think. All of my best drawings are in the middle of the night.
